The Real Diwali
Diwali -The most widely celebrated festival in India,Festival of lights,Festival of happiness,Festival of being together and what not where we greet our near and dear ones.
This festival is a symbol of victory of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance, and hope over despair. Its celebration includes millions of lights shining on housetops, outside doors and windows, around temples and other buildings in the communities and countries where it is observed.
This is a festival where we spread happiness but I observed one thing this Diwali was a widow is not supposed to go to anyone s house during Diwali n it's not only Diwali but also during any other occasions like marraige etc I know with time lot of people have changed and no one really believes in all this but even today there are families where in all this is followed. I just felt so helpless with in myself that I couldn't do anything for this.
But then if a man's wife passes away he can go anywhere and everywhere..... Doesn't this make people think if a female is not allowed then why a men is allowed why is that the same rules applied to the men. He should also dress only in particular color's why is it so. Once a women become's a widow why is that she's not supposed to wear what she wants, she shouldn't wear jewelry according to her wish.....
Feels so sad when u get to see this kind of situation's. We keep complaining after having so much also but think about this women's who don't talk anything about their condition. In such situations we should at least take some steps to make them feel happy instead of making them realise they are a widow. I couldn't do anything but I just wish even if a single person s thinking changes after reading this I'll be glad.
The real festival's with our near and dear ones together with them by making them happy and making them feel that their presence means a lot to us.
